FACILITIES
 |
Inside
your TAMAR VALLEY TIPI you
will find
all your needs. The cooking and heating facility is a woodburning
stove with barbecue
for outside cooking. For
those who would prefer, there
is also a small camping gas stove. Pots, pans,
cutlery and crockery are
supplied. There are rugs on the wooden floor, low tables and mattresses,
etc.,
and so all you need to bring
is your pillow and sleeping bag or duvet, hand towels and tea
towels. |
 |
We
have two sizes of tipi; the smallest will accommodate 2 -
3 people, and the larger will accommodate 4. The interiors
of the tipis are open spaces, and screens can be provided
if you require them.
Toilets,
washbasins and hot showers are available.
We
regret that as the camp is on a working farm no dogs
are allowed.
The
terrain is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
Parking
is available close to, but out of sight of the tipis.

If
you wish to arrive by train, the nearest station
is Gunnislake,
on the Tamar Valley branch line from Plymouth, approximately
3 miles away. If you let us know in advance which train
you are arriving on, we can arrange to pick you up. Bus
services to Luckett are infrequent. |

The
nearest shop and Post Office is in Stoke Climsland, a short drive from the camp site.
Both Callington (3 miles) and Tavistock (6 miles) provide
a full range of services, including a wide range of high
street shopping, cafes and restaurants, public services and
leisure facilities.
The
nearest pubs are the Royal
Inn at Horsebridge (1 mile), the Rifle
Volunteer at St Anns Chapel (2 miles), and the Swingle
Tree at Kelly Bray (2 miles). |
